The University Board of Sports came into existence in the year 1949. The objective of the Board of Sports is to promote, organize and control Intercollegiate, Interzonal, Inter University and such tournaments as may be decided by the Board of Sports from time to time in the Pune University area. It aims to foster team spirit and sportsmanship of the players; it also inculcate & enhance a sense of discipline in them.
