The Inter-University Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), is an autonomous institution set up by the University Grants Commission to promote nucleation and growth of active groups in Astronomy and Astrophysics in Indian universities. A 2 m optical telescope has been installed at a site, which is about 80 km from IUCAA campus, and there are special opportunities for optical astronomy and related instrumentation. IUCAA welcomes collaborative projects with Indian as well as foreign researchers and institutes.
