Vision
We aim at introducing and promoting an interdisciplinary approach in
studies and research within the Humanities and Social Sciences and to
encourage greater and healthy interaction among scholars belonging to
different disciplines.
In the 21st century globalization context, there is a greater need of
and scope for the interdisciplinary research and activities. In Indian
educational sector, the interdisciplinary studies are getting more
prominence. Obviously, our Department has more opportunities for
expanding its activities. The University of Pune is currently
strengthening and expanding linkages with the outside institutions and
the foreign Universities. In this respect also, we visualize better
opportunities for our expansion
