Journals of the Department

The department publishes three quarterly Journals; Indian Philosophical Quarterly, (English) Paramarha (Hindi) and Paramarsha (Marathi). These journals were founded by Late Prof. S.S.Barlingay to motivate researches in Philosophy in three languages. Later other eminent scholars from the department namely Prof. Sundara Rajan, Prof. M.P. Marathe, Prof. S.V.Bokil, Prof. Sharad Deshpande,Prof. S.S.More, Prof. P.P.Gokhale and Prof. S.E. Bhelke served as Chief Editors of these journals and worked hard to maintain its high standard.

INDIAN PHILOSOPHICAL QUARTERLY (ISSN 0376-415 X)

Established in 1973 Indian Philosophical Quarterly is one of the leading referred journals in philosophy in India and abroad. It provides space for free and critical writings on any philosophical topic. Some of the special issues include Rene Descartes, Kant, and K.C.Bhattacharyya (Swaraj in Ideas). The journal is published in January, April, July and October. The present editorial board is as follows:

Paramarsa (Hindi)

Established in 1979 Paramarsha (Hindi) is perhaps the only professional journal for Philosophy in Hindi. The present editorial board is as follows:

Paramarsa (Marathi)

Established in 1979 Paramarsha (Marathi) is the only journal in Marathi for philosophical writings. Some special issues include Philosophy of Karl Marx, Philosophy of Wittgenstein, and Philosophy of Science. The present editorial board is as follows.
