Measurement techniques in RF and Microwaves

Location: Centre for Sensor Studies, Department of Electronic Science

As a part of the program, Centre for Sensor Studies (CSS) conducted a Half day workshop on “Measurement techniques in RF and Microwaves” with the support of Falcon Electro-Tek Pvt. Ltd.
The present workshop was aimed to create awareness among the students, researchers and college teachers for measuring power, discuss error mechanisms and gives principles for calculating overall measurement uncertainty in RF and Microwaves.

The topics covered in the workshop are:

  • Basic transmission line trainer
  • Satellite communication trainer
  • Phase shift and cavity at RF Frequency
  • Micro-strip patch antennas
  • Dielectric constant measurements
  • Vector network analyzer
  • Klystron based Microwave trainer
  • Overall 30 participants were took advantage of this workshop.
