In the era of globalization, we need to innovate in every field of activity in order to survive. The International Centre, Savitribai Phule Pune University took an initiative to conduct many innovative programs, under the project Social Innovation for Local Indian and Israeli Communities and Graduate Entrepreneurs [SILICE] , funded by the European Commission (EU). The Centre then collaborated with the Design Innovation Centre (DIC), SPPU, which actively works in the research area with primary focus on innovation and sustainability in the fields of chemical, physical, life sciences, social sciences, humanities and art.

    The Social Innovation Lab (SinnoLab) under SILICE project has provided a platform and enabled the students of DIC to make practical use of their innovative and unique ideas for startup and to boost such innovative ideas in order to create young entrepreneurs.
