Intellectual Property Right (IPR) cell

Intellectual Property Right (IPR) cell is established under Design Innovation Centre (DIC) – SPPU. The cell caters to all the IP need for researchers (M. Phil, Ph. D etc) Innovators, students, faculties, proposed start-ups within campus and anyone who wishes to seek help from SPPU in this regard.

The said activities will be extended for DIC- SPPU, in campus students/faculties and departments of SPPU, affiliated colleges of SPPU, and spoke centres of DIC.

The various activities that will be undertaken by the DIC- IPR cell include:

1. Disseminating awareness about IPR, Innovation, emerging fields in technology domain within the campus, affiliated colleges of SPPU and spoke centres of DIC and promoting a culture of Innovation and IP.

2. Providing support in terms of filling and managing entire prosecution of patents, copyrights, trademarks, design patents for the potential IP aspirants.

3. Assess ideas for IP commercialization potential.

4. Help identify emerging trends and opportunities in multiple technology sectors and industry verticals.

5. Accelerate Idea from Lab to market i.e accelerating innovation from Idea to Product Stage then from Product stage to market.

6. Provide IP, Innovation and technology training courses.

7. Manage IP commercialisation, In-licensing, out-licensing, Conduct IP audits, technology transfer, etc activities for the potential aspirants.
