3.Placements

Our students have been placed in various reputed national institutes (Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune; National Centre for Cell Science, Pune; National Chemical Laboratory, Pune; National Institute of Immunology, Delhi; Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore; Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai; ACTREC, Mumbai; BARC, Mumbai) for research. Students have also been placed in reputed R & D Laboratories, such as Cipla, Serum, Biomérieux, etc.

Smita B Jagdale won First prize in Avishkar-2016 in Agriculture category.

5. Alumni

The alumni of the department now occupy positions of great responsibilities in different institutions in India such as Institute of Microbial Technology, Chandigarh, National Institute of Virology Pune, National Chemical Laboratory Pune, Serum Institute of India Pune, Reliance Life Sciences, Agharkar Research Institute etc. and in institutes abroad like Harvard Medical School USA, Max Plank Institute Germany, Roche Pharmaceuticals in Palo Alto, USA, University of Iowa, USA, Urmiya University, Iran, Kerman University of Medical Sciences, Kerman, Iran. The Department has a strong liaison with some of the industries around of which Praj Industries Ltd, Serum Institute of India Ltd and Reliance Life Sciences are a few.
