Activities

Apart from teaching and research for M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs in Environmental Science, the Department has conducted several training programs, seminars and symposia and has undertaken several major and minor research projects as well as consultancy work. The Department is involved in providing consultancy work to various industries around Pune region. One of the major activity is environmental Awareness programme.

TRAINING PROGRAMS

In the last 19 years or so, the department has conducted three types of training programs:-
Training Program for Students.
Training Program for Teachers.
Training Program for Professionals.
The program for students includes compulsory industrial training, Environmental Awareness Programs and International Student Exchange Programs, while that for Teachers includes refresher courses.

SEMINARS, SYMPOSIA AND EXHIBITIONS

The Department has conducted several national and international seminars, symposia and workshops and has organized several exhibitions on problems and issues related to environment and Pollution. The students of the Department are actively involved in all these activities.
