The department regularly arranges lecture series. Workshops for research students. Department also arranges national seminars. P.D. Gune and Ashtekar lecture series on the topics of Veda, Grammar and Linguistics are the speciaties of the Department.
In the academic year 2015-16 Department has organized 1 International 1 National 1 State Level seminar. The department also arranges for the guidance to foreign and Indian Casual students in Sanskrit and Prakrit Language and literature.
