Courses offered by the centre

At present we are providing short term courses to needy people including students with disabilities as well as normal people who are related to education Of people with disabilities.

Certificate course in basic computing and assistive technology learning (CBCATL)

We have started this course specially for college students with disabilities in January 2010 with nominal admission Fees to make them independent in education. The course is of six month duration. It will cover basic knowledge of computer peripherals, computer hardware system, various operating systems, desktop utilities, office utilities, commonly used software applications, internet operating, knowledge of computer aided assistive devices etc. students with disabilities pursuing any regular degree or diploma course can study the course parallelly along with their degree course to which they are enrolled.

Certificate Program in Universal Design and Accessibility (CPUDA)

This is a program with 3 months duration that are targeted for all kinds of professionals to sensitize them about universal design principles and accessible designing of products and services for persons with disabilities. Making accessible products and services are mandatory by law hence it is necessary to sensitize various stakeholders in industries and academia.

Certificate program in inclusive Education (inservice teachers)

This is the short program of 5 months duration designed for In service teachers of regular schools. This program is run with dhruv foundation in online mode.

Deploma in Inclusive Education

This is the 1 year diploma program that the center is planning to start from academic year 2023-24 for developing train human resources who can involve policy making, counselling students with disabilities and teach inclusive classes that involves all kinds of students with disabilities and abled body people. The program involves how to teach students with disabilities, what facilities they required in colleges and universities, What assistive technologies are required for persons with various kinds of persons with disabilities, How to develop accessible course material for persons with disabilities, how to provide accessible environment in academic campuses etc.

Certificate program in Full stack Web development:

This is a short training program of 3 months duration designed for technical graduate students with disabilities to make them employable with the support of Youth for Jobs foundation.
Apart from these courses, Students can also contact for any special or advance training of computer application at any time in academic year. Their need is individualized by analyzing requirement, and course for admitting person or group of persons is designed accordingly by our expertise in special circumstances. Till date, 500 + students with disabilities of different disciplines are trained for the use of computer in their education. Their need is identified and special courses are designed for them for training.

Web accessibility training

The centre also provide training on web accessibility to government, corporate and non government organizations. Till date the centre has conducted more than 30 workshops on web accessibility, mobile accessibility and desktop accessibility for various IT professionals in government and corporates.
