M.A. in Economics

The department admits students from various parts of India as well as abroad. The in-take capacity at entry point (MA Part I) is fifty. Over and above this, the department admits eight (15 % of In-Take) International Students and students from NRI category. The department also admits Exchange Students from Universities with which Savitribai Phule Pune University has MoU. To encourage diversity, we encourage students from other states. Admissions are given as per ordinance 181 and UGC guidelines.

Admissions are based on written exam which is held sometimes in month of July. Admissions process begins after a Notification is issued by the University (June end or early July). The last date for the submission of forms is also declared by the University. The admission applications for the M.A. in Economics are available online on the Pune University Website or can also be obtained from the department. Applicants need to send the filled in application with relevant details to the Office of the department directly. every year after the BA economics results of Pune University are declared.
