Group Description:Our lab works on understanding the chromatin dynamics, which is crucial for regulation of gene expression (coding and non-coding RNAs namely miRNAs and lncRNAs) required for normal functioning of cell. Gene expression regulation is involved in many biological processes including development and differentiation. Understanding this basic regulation and expression will give insight in designing biomarkers and therapeutic drugs for various diseases. In our lab, we use cancer cells and also human mesenchymal stem cells to understand regulation of specific genes and non-coding RNAs during development and differentiation.
