Group Description: Our research profile includes development of nanomedicines based on synthetic and biological nanomaterials. We are engineering delivery systems for drugs, infectious microbial cells, therapeutic proteins, micronutrients and traditional medicines towards therapeutic and clinical applications. Such work includes (i) engineering and pharmacological development of various nanomaterials (ii) advanced delivery systems for therapeutic agents against critical microbial infections (iii) descriptive and predictive modelling of a nanoparticle pharmacological performance (iv) pharmacological and toxicological profile of novel nanomedicines.
